An apple-coloured, pear-shaped natural, untreated Chrysoberyl gem set in platinum.  This 5.28 ct, exquisitely cut Chrysoberyl has been set in platinum -- it deserves nothing less as it is a stunning one-of-a-kind gem.  Once again, I stress that this species of gem is well-known and appreciated by gemologists and gem dealers but, sadly, not well-enough known by the public.  Elegant, feminine, understated.  Sigh.  In a word: Beautiful.
